Across broader indices, the outcomes were mixed, with gains driven by Healthcare and FMCG stocks. However, the Bank Nifty index witnessed a decline of 577.60 points (1.31%), settling at 43,583.95.
Smallcap and Midcap stocks witnessed gains in the sectoral landscape, while Healthcare, Banking, and Financial Services stocks experienced declines. Notable performers on the NSE Nifty 50 included SBI Life Insurance, Apollo Hospitals, HDFC Life Insurance, L&T, and Tata Consumer Products as the top gainers. Conversely, State Bank Of India, Axis Bank, ONGC, BPCL, and Bajaj Finance were among the laggards. The Indian Volatility Index (India VIX) concluded with a 1.54% increase, reflecting heightened market volatility.
